Deitrick Haddon rocks Ghana

The 15th of September, 2012, would forever be engraved in the minds n hearts of many Ghanaians until probably the man, Deitrick Haddon arrives back in this country to headline another show and even then the 1st time would always be the best.

Coming on stage clad in an all white attire with matching white boots to resounding adoration from the packed to capacity auditorium, i believe if the roof could it would have caved in. From the first decibel of his his vocal range to the last act of putting the mic back on the stand and blowing kisses and waving goodbye to the audience, all in the room stood and rocked with him. You just could not remain in your seat. The concert had been sold out days before and people had to be driven away because there wasn't enough room.

He sang songs like "Mighty God", the ever popular "He's Able", "I got to Praise", "Well Done", etc and then ended it all with the soulful "It all belongs to You". He had the whole auditorium singing every single line of every song with him which had him remark "Ghana knows my music! They knew the words 2 every song & sang every note 2 me!! I enjoyed singing with them".

He again remarked "What a night! We worshipped, danced, praised & we cried. This is the way it should be every time! Glory 2 God. I can't wait to get back to Ghana .... I got a feeling that God is not finished .... I gotta get back soon. He promised to be back in Ghana and maybe record a full album right here in Ghana. And oh he didn't end in his white long sleeved caftan somewhere in the middle of the show he changed into a long sleeved dark blue caftan.

The American gospel sensation, a native of Detroit is a 2012 Dove Award winner, 6 Time Stellar Award winner, 2 time Grammy nominee, Film Producer and a Spiritual leader with a Doctorate of Divinity. He's produced 2 movies already titled "Blessed & Cursed" and "A Beautiful Soul" which was recently released. A third 1 titled "G-Street" would be released soon.

Deitrick Haddon is for me the most dynamic songwriter and minister with a specific anointing for young people and his music even appeals to them that do not know Christ.

The show dubbed "Sing Out For Peace" was organised by Living Streams International. He performed along side DSP Kofi Sarpong, who opened the show after being introduced by Mc's for the nite Kojo Opong of Sunny FM and CEO, of Allure Ghana, Kokui. Then came Funny Face who was his usual funny self with clean jokes n some wild dance steps.

There were reps from the various Political Parties as the even was geared towards maintaining Peace before, during and after the December elections. Monarch Praise then took to the like they owned it and ministered powerful before Selina Boateng took over to bless all present. Before Monarch Praise appeared for their 2nd ministration more peace messages were delivered.

On the whole it was a night to remember and i honestly look forward to seeing Deitrick Haddon live in Ghana again soonest.
