Am back on the block to blog lol

Wow so its almost a year since i last blogged?? I must say i have really missed doing this and so in short let me say am back and i bring u greetings from the throne room of Our most gracious Lord and Saviour. As has been the norm from earlier posts it would continue in the same vein.

This time i promise to be more regular on here giving you info as and when i lay my hands on them and also a couple of reviews here n there but the focus would continue to be on God's word, the Kingdom Bizness as i choose to call it.

Soon this blog would be migrated into a site "www.kamafari.com" so watch this space and i would be most gratefully if you all help in making this medium more effective by bouncing any information you need to circulate off me.

I also do photography so you can invite me to cover your events and i would feature them here on this blog and eventually on the website when it goes up.

Thank you.

GHANA IN WORSHIP

As Ghana readies for Election 2012 come 7th of December, the Christian community has also intensified its efforts  to ensure that there is Peace before, during and after the election. Most churches if not all are engaged in various activities be them all night services, fasting and prayer sessions, Talk Sessions with officials of NCCE etc. etc. seeking the face of the Almighty to ensure that #PEACE reigns supreme all in this election season.

Happening this Friday & Saturday, Nov 23 & 24, @ Conference Centre, 6pm each night is GHANA IN WORSHIP with Rev. Eric Kwapong and a host of other anointed men of God in music ministry and i must say some of my personal favorites in Ghanaian contemporary gospel music.

Rev. Tom Bright-Davies, you would love the ministration of this man i have heard so much about though am yet to be under his ministration in person and so i won't be missing.

Min. Danny Nettey, the man i call the Grand Papa of Contemporary Gospel Music in Ghana. I have heard and seen him minister on numerous occasions and i always wonna have more with his heavy voice that dishes out soothing and rasping plus arresting vocals.

Nii Okai Okai, a minister i would call a friend and brother who does amazing things with his vocal range that's just out of the ordinary but most importantly grooming n nurturing a generation of soldiers in ministry with the Harbour City Mass Choir HCMC.

Ps. Ify Eborta, well i know very little about this minister but 1 thing that is for sure is the fact that once she's part of the gathering then you should be ready to receive from the throne room through her ministration.

Cwesi Oteng, well what more can i say on this Swagnificient n #GodDeyBless dude.

All these ministers would be backed by Flo'Riva Inc, Mercy Project Mass Choir & Fusion, expect nothing but the best praise and worship to be lifted up to Our maker.

It's free ......... don't miss out!!! It's this Friday & Saturday inside the Accra International Conference Center, AICC 6pm each night make a date and be on time .... Ghana in Worship for Peace & Accelerated Development!!!

New Single - Cwesi Oteng

After dropping 4 hit singles #Okurayen, #Mercy, #GodDeyBless and finally #KabiYesi the praise anthem before finally releasing his much anticipated album "The Mercy Project", the GodDeyBless dude and the "Swagnificient" dude is at it again with another hit single titled #LoveMeSo, which am sure is the unofficial 1st release off his next album "Mercy Project 2" ............... shhhhhhh don't say I told you ooooo.

Even before his first full album dropped the "God Dey Bless" hit singer had won a number of awards both on the local and international scene notable amongst them being the Best Gospel Video @ the 2011 4Syte MVA Awards with the 1st single #Mercy", and then most recently his 2nd single #GodDeyBless video also won Africa's Video of the Year @ the 2012 Africa Gospel Music Awards.

#LoveMeSo is cast in the same mold as it predecessors but sounds more like a fusion of #Mercy n #GodDeyBless being somehow mellow n yet still a banger that you can rock to anyday. The theme of the song as the title suggests is Love, the unconditional Love of God for His children and features a rap by KingsKid which is very apt and on point.

If you still haven't heard it then please follow this link to download it and enjoy. It's a definitely hit.

First Time Ever-Helen Yawson

Finally finally finally i get to write something. Been a long while and ohhh what a way to get back but with a piece on the Lady i choose to call, the Cece of Ghana, well she has lived in London for a long while before coming to Ghana but still for me she sure is the First Lady of Contemporary Gospel Music in Ghana, Pst. Mrs. Helen Yawson. I fell in love with her voice even before i got to know her name.

First time i heard her sing i was soo sure i was hearing a song by Cece Winans and it was a cd being played but when i asked i was told the Lady who's voice i just heard is the wife of the Head Pastor of KICC, Ghana and for the very First Time ever in Ghana she would be Live in Concert @ "He Put A New Song In My Mouth" - Ps 40:3.

I have witnessed her minister at a number of concerts but never have i been at a concert she's headlining and in my opinion this concert is long overdue. For a Pastor who specializes in song ministration, voice coaching n workshops you can expect the very best of vocal artistry today, Sunday the 21st of October, from 5pm inside the main auditorium of the KICC Dominion Centre, off Coca-Cola Roundabout on the Spintex Road. Rate is a cool GHc15 for Regular and GHc30+Free Album.
Guest artiste on the night would be my man of the moment, the guy with the name "Swagnificent" on twitter and known all over Ghana as the "God Dey Bless Dude" Cwesi Oteng and his backers Flo_Riva Inc and you can be rest assured that Fusion would be in the house. A bird whispered to me that Fusion would be playing for Pst. Helen Yawson so you know what to expect.
This event is powered by Charterhouse You can't afford to miss out. See ya!!!!

GDBGH - Really a Blessing

Last Sunday the much talked "God Dey Bless Ghana" Concert hosted by Cwesi Oteng and FloRiva Inc. came off and it surely lived up to its billing of being the biggest Contemporary Gospel Music Event of the year. Even before 4pm people had started entering the event hall in all eagerness to be part of history. It took quite a while to get them out and check tickets for them to re-enter so the show could start at the stipulated time.

By 4:45pm the main auditorium of the Accra International Conference Centre, AICC, was almost fully filled and the guest were being welcomed by some melodious jazzy renditions by CrossFire which was received very well by the audience as shown in the applause they received when they ended their session setting the tone perfectly for the main acts to begin.

But even before the first act by Ms Penjani Ng'uni from Zambia, who lost her luggage on arrival in Ghana, there was a powerful ministration by Francis Amoo who did an oratorio with the Ghana Dance Ensemble. After that he gave the opening prayer and continued with a Worship and Praises session during which the lights went off but the audience put on their fones to light up the hall and kept singing even without instruments till lights were back on.

Ms Penjani Ng'uni who sometimes ventures into the prophetic gave a message to Ghana from the Lord saying we would have peaceful elections come December and also said Ghana is a very blessed nation and that as Ghanaians we should always be grateful for that.

Mounting the stage to minister after her was another Gospel Diva this time from Ghana, Ohemaa Mercy, looking resplendent in a white Kaba n Slit, she had the whole hall singing and dancing as she sang hit after hit from her repertoire of dance able tunes.

After Ohemaa Mercy and before the main act of the evening was Min. Danny Nettey, Ghana's own Grand Papa of Contemporary Gospel Music and man did he bless the house. His easy going slow harmonious and melodious flow of singing was so refreshing and soothing that you would even forget you were standing on your feet and swinging to the tunes till they stopped and that's exactly what happened with the audience whiles he ministered.

Finally, the ministration of Cwesi Oteng backed by FloRiva Inc, plus a strong 120 man Mercy Project Mass Choir and "Fusion" on instruments was unleashed on the expectant house. From the moment Fusion started with the intro to the last sounding of a drum or keyboard the house stood, sang and danced unless Cwesi asked that they sit and listened. After a strong introduction by "Fusion" Cwesi mounted the stage after his 6 man FloRiva Inc backers suited like militants of the Almighty ready to war in music and ministered songs like Meyewode, Jehovah, Lord You Are Good, Worship Medley, Mercy and then the 2 most anticipated songs KabiYesi and God Dey Bless which came with some wild choreography especially God Dey Bless with the current Malta Guiness Street Dance champions. And then Cwesi was off after giving the closing prayer, leaving Prince Henry to lead Okurayen to take the guests home.

Unfortunately Tim Godfrey & Xtreme Crew (Nigeria) could not be present to help us praise our Daddy due to flight issues.

The Concert which was emceed by Fifii Folson of Sunny FM and Jeremie of YFM, also served as a platform for the launch of the Mercy Project Album which has taken over 2yrs to put together. Every guest at the concert took home a copy of the powerful Mercy Project album that has the hit tracks #Mercy, #God Dey Bless, the Praise anthem #KabiYesi, the uplifting #Okurayen and others like  #Lord You Are Good which is a definite hit, #Meyewode, a #Worship Medley and the soulful #Jehovah plus a bonus track #Jesus No Dey Fail.

God indeed Blessed all who attended so taaaaaaaaay.

The Concert was proudly sponsored by First Capital Plus, CDH, Stratcomm, Stanbic Bank, Global Outdoors Systems, DDP Outdoors, CCML and Structures. Media partners etv Ghana, JoyFM, OkayFM, Peace FM, Sunny FM, Sweet Melodies FM, Happy FM and Citi FM and Powered by Episode 7 Events, Cwesi Oteng Ministries and FloRiva Inc.
